Breaking Benjamin: New Album on the Horizon and Upcoming Tour
Breaking Benjamin fans can look forward to fresh material as the band prepares for the release of their upcoming seventh studio album, anticipated in 2025. The band, known for its powerful sound and emotional lyrics, is taking a thoughtful approach to their music, ensuring that the new album meets high expectations.
A Deliberate Approach to New Music
Guitarist Jasen Rauch shared insights on the band’s creative process during a recent appearance on Billboard’s Behind the Setlist podcast. He emphasized the importance of maintaining quality: “We still have the attitude [that] you’re only as good as your next album.” This mindset reflects the band’s commitment to avoiding a “sophomore slump” as they progress with their seventh record.
Recent Releases and Development Timeline
The band’s last studio album, Ember, was released in 2018, followed by the reimagined collection Aurora in 2020. The recently unveiled single, “Awaken,” showcases the band’s meticulous songwriting process. Rauch noted that the first demo for the track was recorded years ago, with significant revisions: “The lyrics were changed ‘three or four times.’ The song’s key changed. The band tried out different tempos.” This careful consideration illustrates their dedication to perfecting their music before sharing it with fans.
New Label, New Opportunities
The forthcoming album will also mark a new chapter for Breaking Benjamin, as it will be released through BMG, diverging from their previous label, Hollywood Records. Rauch explained how this partnership allows the band greater freedom in their creative endeavors, noting, “They’re already walking into an established product… It’s been a cool, refreshing experience for us.” This change in collaboration signifies a notable evolution in the band’s trajectory, potentially unlocking new opportunities for growth.
Upcoming Tour Dates
Alongside the album’s preparation, Breaking Benjamin will co-headline the Awaken the Fallen Tour with Staind from April 26 to June 1. Additionally, the band is set to perform at major festivals this summer, including Rocklahoma on August 30 and Louder Than Life on September 19, further energizing their fanbase with live performances.
