Lady Gaga Cast in Ridley Scott’s Upcoming Historical Film “Empire of Shadows”

Lady Gaga is set to star in Ridley Scott’s upcoming historical drama titled “Empire of Shadows.” The film delves into the political complexities of 16th-century Italy, with Gaga portraying Isabella d’Este, a notable figure known for her influence in the arts and diplomacy during the Renaissance.
Ridley Scott, who has previously collaborated with Gaga on “House of Gucci,” commended her artistic range, stating that she possesses a unique talent for embodying deep emotions and intellect, making her well-suited for the multifaceted role of Isabella.
Given Gaga’s acclaimed performance in “A Star Is Born,” which earned her an Academy Award for Best Original Song as well as a nomination for Best Actress, there is already significant speculation regarding her potential for another Oscar nomination for this new role.
Production is set to commence this summer, with an anticipated theatrical release slated for late 2025.
