Leadership Transition at PGGB
The Production Guild of Great Britain (PGGB) has announced Kaye Elliott as its new director, effective from July. She will succeed Lyndsay Duthie, who stepped down from the position in January.
Kaye Elliott’s Background
Elliott brings a wealth of experience to PGGB, having previously served as the director of high-end TV (HETV) at ScreenSkills. In this role, she shaped strategies and supervised investments aimed at bolstering skills support for UK freelancers and production companies.
Her extensive career includes key positions at Creative England and Screen Yorkshire, where she built strong networks with various stakeholders in the industry, encompassing broadcasters, independent production companies, and streaming services.
Current Industry Challenges
Elliott’s appointment comes at a crucial time, with the industry facing a scripted funding crisis, compounded by recent findings from ScreenSkills indicating that two-thirds of freelancers are struggling to secure work.
Vision for the Future
PGGB Chair Bianca Gavin expressed confidence in Elliott, noting her “exceptional leadership, vision, and industry insight.” Gavin highlighted that Elliott’s dedication to advocating for UK talent aligns with the organization’s core mission.
“Kaye’s strong commitment to championing UK industry talent aligns perfectly with our mission and ethos, and we are excited for her to lead the organisation into the future,” said Gavin.

“This next chapter will be shaped by their insight and ambition. I’m excited and committed to bring my passion for the industry and work with the team and the Board to build on the Guild’s strong foundations to grow and strategically support its members, influence policy, and ultimately strengthen the UK’s global production leadership.”
