Ed Sheeran has revealed plans for his new acoustic album, titled *Echoes of Us*, which he dedicates to his late mentor, Michael Gudinski. The album is scheduled for release on April 26, 2024, and will feature 12 tracks that tackle themes of loss, healing, and memory.

In an emotional post on Instagram, Sheeran expressed the profound impact Gudinski had on his life, noting, “Losing him left a void in my life that I’ve been trying to fill ever since.” He aims for this album to honor Gudinski’s legacy and share the wisdom he imparted.

Described as one of his most personal works, *Echoes of Us* is praised for its raw storytelling, echoing the heartfelt narratives of Sheeran’s earlier music. Tracks such as “Through the Pines,” “Silent River,” and “Last Night on the Hill” reflect his personal grief while resonating with broader audiences. In a recent interview, Sheeran shared that the writing process involved late-night sessions in his home studio, focusing on memories and lessons learned from Gudinski.

The album, co-produced with Aaron Dessner from The National, features minimal production that highlights Sheeran’s vocals and acoustic compositions. Dessner remarked on Sheeran’s powerful emotional expression, calling the album a testament to the beauty of simplicity in storytelling.

Fans are eagerly awaiting the album, with many expressing their support on social media. The lead single “Through the Pines” is set to release on March 1, 2024, along with a music video filmed in the picturesque landscapes of Sheeran’s estate in Suffolk.

Michael Gudinski, a notable figure in the Australian music scene and founder of Mushroom Records, significantly influenced Sheeran’s career. His abrupt passing in March 2021 left a deep impact on the artist, who previously honored Gudinski at a memorial. Sheeran emphasized that this album is meant for anyone grieving a loved one, aiming to offer peace and connection.

In addition to the album, Sheeran plans to embark on an acoustic tour across the UK and Australia, performing in intimate venues to foster a personal connection with fans. Tickets for the *Echoes of Us Acoustic Tour* will be available soon, with part of the proceeds directed toward mental health and bereavement charities.
