This week, Cynthia Erivo’s powerful ballad “Worst of Me” emerged as the clear favorite in a new music poll conducted by Billboard. Music fans cast their votes, ultimately awarding Erivo’s track a remarkable 73% of the total votes, placing her ahead of other recent releases.

Erivo triumphed over several high-profile artists, including:

  • Lana Del Rey with “Henry, Come On”
  • Jessie Murph’s “Blue Strips”
  • Bon Iver’s album SABLE fABLE
  • Rauw Alejandro with “Carita Linda”

Del Rey’s track secured the second position, receiving 12% of the votes, and marks the first single from her anticipated country album, The Right Person Will Stay.

About ‘Worst of Me’ and Upcoming Projects

“Worst of Me” serves as the second single from Erivo’s upcoming album, I Forgive You, which is set to be released on June 6 through Verve Records and Republic Records. This project is notable as it showcases Erivo’s growth as a songwriter, with her contributing to every track on the album.

In this new release, Erivo showcases her vocal prowess as she reflects on the conclusion of a toxic relationship.
