He attended Towson University, where he majored in media production and graduated in 2019 with a 3.5 GPA. His initial career path took him into broadcasting, but after five years of feeling unfulfilled and seeking a more meaningful path, Big Jon returned to his roots in music. In the summer of 2024, he rekindled his passion for songwriting and began working on his debut EP, HERE I COME, which features six tracks written entirely by him.
The EP includes songs titled “Rise Again,” “Sponsor,” “Spirits,” “Powers,” “No More,” and “Don’t Judge Me,” each exploring different aspects of Big Jon’s life experiences, struggles, and aspirations. These tracks were produced and recorded at SongBuilder Studios in Baltimore, with “Powers” being recorded at Lounge Studios in New York City. The EP is a blend of powerful storytelling, impactful lyrics, and an undeniable flow that reflects Big Jon’s diverse talent as both a rapper and a singer.
