Snoop Dogg's "missionary" Enters The Top 10 Of The Billboard

Snoop Dogg’s latest album, “Missionary,” has made a significant impact on the Billboard charts, achieving high rankings across several categories. It debuted at number 7 on both the Top Album Sales and Top R&B/Hip-Hop Album charts, while also securing the number 1 spot on the Top Rap Album chart. The album is noted for being Snoop’s highest charting project in over 15 years. Notably, “Missionary” also reached number 20 on the overall Billboard 200 chart during the week ending December 19.

This album marks a reunion with acclaimed producer Dr. Dre, who last collaborated with Snoop on his 1993 debut, “Doggystyle.” “Missionary” recorded 38,000 equivalent album units in its debut week, which included 20,500 traditional album sales, alongside streaming and track equivalent album units.

The Top Album Sales chart, which reflects the best-selling albums based on traditional sales, has its origins dating back to May 1991. For this week, Stray Kids led the chart with their album “HOP” selling 180,000 copies. Taylor Swift’s “The Tortured Poets Department” followed behind at number two with 50,000 copies. Other noteworthy entries included The Wicked movie soundtrack and albums by Chappell Roan and Sabrina Carpenter that rounded out the top five.

Overall, “Missionary” not only highlights Snoop Dogg’s enduring presence in the music industry but also signifies a strong comeback in album sales, reinforced by the collaboration with Dr. Dre.
