Tim Miller recently shared insights regarding his earnings from directing his feature debut, “Deadpool,” released in 2016. During an interview with Collider, Miller disclosed that he earned $225,000 for his work on the film. While this figure may seem substantial, he noted that it was not particularly profitable considering the two years of effort he invested in the project.

Miller expressed gratitude for the opportunity, acknowledging the challenges faced by first-time directors in Hollywood. Despite the financial outcome, he recognized the significance of being involved in a film that went on to gross over $782 million worldwide. He remarked on the unique experience of being part of a successful franchise, stating that though his earnings did not reflect the film’s success, the exposure and accolades gained were invaluable.

Following the tremendous success of the original “Deadpool,” a sequel was released in 2018, directed by David Leitch. The character has since become part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe after Disney’s acquisition of Fox. A third installment, titled “Deadpool and Wolverine,” directed by Shawn Levy, is set to be released in 2024.
