Megan Thee Stallion has taken legal action by filing for a restraining order against Tory Lanez, who is currently serving a 10-year prison sentence for shooting her. The filing, made by her attorneys in Los Angeles Superior Court, comes in response to claims that Lanez has threatened her, despite a previous restraining order that expired last year.
The legal documents consist of a 194-page brief, where Lanez is described as having a “violent and dangerous” demeanor, showcasing an established pattern of behavior that has allegedly endangered Megan’s health and safety. The request for the restraining order emphasizes the need for protection given the circumstances.
Furthermore, the documents allege that while incarcerated, Lanez has engaged in a campaign to undermine Megan’s credibility by hiring bloggers to distort her account of the shooting. One particular blogger identified in the filing, Elizabeth Milagro Cooper, has been claimed to act as Lanez’s representative.
In December 2022, Lanez was convicted of several charges, including assault with a semi-automatic weapon and discharging a firearm with gross negligence. Following the conviction, attempts by Lanez’s legal team to obtain a new trial were denied, and an appeal is currently in process.
