Gypsy Rose Blanchard has welcomed her first child, a daughter named Aurora Raina Aaker, with her boyfriend Ken Aaker. The announcement was made on January 1st through a post on Instagram by Aaker, who shared a photo of Blanchard holding their newborn. Aaker expressed joy in welcoming the new year with what he described as “the greatest gift of all.”
Blanchard and Aaker’s relationship has grown after they rekindled their romance following a period of separation. This follows Blanchard’s previous marriage to Ryan Anderson, which she found unfulfilling and ultimately decided to end. After filing for divorce earlier this year, she described the experience as difficult, especially reflecting on feelings of losing a part of herself during the marriage. The divorce was finalized recently, shortly before the birth of their daughter.
Blanchard is set to be released from prison in December 2023 after serving seven years of her ten-year sentence for her involvement in the murder of her mother, Claudine “Dee Dee” Blanchard, in 2015. Her boyfriend at the time, Nicholas Godejohn, was convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to life without parole. Blanchard received a sentence of second-degree murder for her role in the crime. Throughout this challenging journey, Blanchard is now embracing the joys of motherhood while continuing to come to terms with her past.
