Chapel Lawn Apologizes For Criticizing Glee's Christmas Episode

Chappell Roan has recently addressed her previous criticism of the “Glee” episode titled “Extraordinary Merry,” which aired in 2011. In a light-hearted manner, Roan posted a video on Instagram where she humorously expressed her dislike for the episode, stating it was the “worst” she had ever seen. She shared this moment while watching the episode in the background, jokingly pressing pause and suggesting she would move on to something else.

Shortly thereafter, Roan made another video, this time in front of a Christmas tree, where she playfully apologized to fans of “Glee.” In this video, she humorously acknowledged those she may have offended, expressing her love for the show and its characters, Kurt and Blaine. Roan has mentioned that her relationship with “Glee” has evolved; although she initially found it ridiculous, she has since leaned into its charm.

Roan’s interest in “Glee” isn’t new, as she revealed during a live performance this year that she had recently started watching the series, having made multiple attempts to appreciate it fully.

In addition to her light-hearted apologies, 2024 has been a significant year for Roan. She concluded the year at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top New Artists chart and her debut album, “The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess,” achieved notable success, peaking at No. 2 on the Billboard 200. Additionally, she made her mark on the Billboard Hot 100 with a top 10 hit, further establishing her presence in the music industry.
