Victoria Monet is gearing up for the holiday season with a Christmas album made up of instrumentals from her 2023 project “Jaguar II.” The festive “A Jaguar II Christmas: The Orchestral Arrangements” includes updates to the original song titles with a Christmas theme, such as “Stop (Askin’ Me 4Shyt)” becoming “Stop (Askin’ Me 4 Gifts)” has been. Monet worked on the album with composer Maurice “Piranahead” Hurd and a live orchestra. This is her second Christmas album, following 2020’s “A Jaguar Christmas.”
Jaguar II was released last year and was named Best R&B Album at the 2024 Grammy Awards. That night, Monet also took home the gong for Best Newcomer. In August, she shared her collaboration with Usher, “SOS (Sex on Sight).”
